Drinking alcohol may reduce the severity of rheumatoid arthritis according to new research just published. It is the first time that this effect has been shown in humans. The study also finds that alcohol consumption reduces the risk of developing the disease, confirming the results of previous studies. (Source: Medical News Today, 7/28/10) our Online Comment: This is again one of the typical studies which suggests alcohol positive results. At the end doubts are reflected but no information about the big risks of alcohol in general.The normal alcohol consumer feels confirmed in his behaviour. Most of the newspapers publish big titles and no or few doubts and that is what the alcohol industry needs.
